A vignot is a small vineyard adjacent to the farm, where the grower/winemaker grows his fine selection grapes yielding his finest wine, typically reserved just for family consumption and to show it off to friends.
This excellent old-style Barbera wine is fermented strictly in a traditional way. It tends to be high in alcohol (13.5 or 14 degrees, depending on vintage).
Vignot is a wine for special occasions and exclusively for conneisseurs.
